Survive Your
Ideas Wiki

Your idea. Everyone’s problem.

One player writes a word. A tsunami, a dinosaur or something much stranger appears. The island fills with overlapping effects, and the last player alive wins.

01 / The idea

What is Survive Your Ideas?

Survive Your Ideas is a multiplayer Roblox game where players help create the very things they have to survive. The game selects a Writer to enter a word, then turns that idea into an event on the map. The next word adds another twist.

The fun is in the combinations: a creature chasing you, a changing landscape and a new idea arriving before you have dealt with the last one. Choosing a word is only half the challenge. You also need somewhere to go when it takes effect.

Core rules: official Roblox description.

How to Play Survive Your Ideas

Full beginner guide →
  1. Watch for your turn

A random player becomes the Writer. Keep watching the map while you wait for your own writing prompt.

  2. Choose your word

When the input appears, enter your idea and press Send. Think about the effect you want—and how you will handle it.

  3. Survive the stack

Read each new warning and react. A new word can arrive while older hazards are still active.

  4. Be the last alive

Outlast the other players to win. Your first victory also earns the Champion badge.

A writing turn and a whole match are different things: many words can appear before one match ends.

Items, Spins & the Five-Slot Loadout

The lobby’s Items menu lets you spin for equipment, including items such as Jetpack, Sword and Medkit. Its Loadout has five slots, and the menu says your best five items go into the match with you.

Normal Spins use Cash. Lucky spins offer another route to items and are labelled “Rare or better” in the captured menu. Check the current shop for prices and odds.

How to Unlock Meta Words

Meta Words are unlockable inputs that start with a slash. For example, /double repeats the next word’s effect, while /undo reverses the previous word.

Some unlocks use Cash; premium options use Robux. Buy access through the lobby menu, then include the slash when entering the Meta Word on your turn.

How to Earn and Spend Cash

Player guides describe survival rewards and one-time rewards for newly recognized Index entries. Cash can be spent on normal Spins and Cash-priced Meta Words. Learning effects gives you something useful to work on between wins.

Word Discovery & the Word Diary

Beginner Tips & Survival Strategies

You do not need a huge vocabulary to get started. A few understood effects and a clear escape route are a useful first goal.

Learn the disaster responses →
  1. Read the warning first.

Use the on-screen hint to decide where to move. Lava and a chasing creature ask for different reactions.

  2. Look before you type.

Check your position and the hazards already active. Consider whether your word will make your own route harder.

  3. Keep another way out.

A useful hiding place can stop being useful when the next effect arrives. Avoid relying on one spot for the entire match.

  4. Learn one effect at a time.

Watch what familiar words actually do. That knowledge helps you choose your next input and react to other Writers.

Survive Your Ideas FAQ

New to the island? Start here.

Is Survive Your Ideas free to play?

The base experience is free to join on Roblox. Optional purchases include premium Meta Words and other paid features. You can start playing and writing ordinary words without buying those extras.

Can I type any word?

You can try your own ideas when selected as Writer, but every input does not necessarily have a unique effect. Player guides describe unknown text being matched to an existing effect or producing a named NPC. Roblox’s text filter can also block an input. See how words are handled.

What is the difference between words, Items and Meta Words?

Ordinary words are the ideas you submit during a writing turn. Items are equipment obtained through the Items menu. Meta Words are special unlocks entered with a leading slash, such as /undo.

What should I type to win?

Choose an effect that fits your position and the current hazards. An impressive disaster can make your situation worse, too. Our Best Words guide organizes options by the problem you want to solve.

Who made Survive Your Ideas?

The experience is published by the Survive Your Ideas Roblox community. Roblox lists Slay (SlayHatt) as its owner. This wiki is an independent fan guide.
